Mission
Department of Physics is one of the vital Departments of Government College of Engineering, Bargur. Department offers credit based Engineering Physics courses to Undergraduate I year B. E students. Department also has well established laboratory for B. E. I year students with sufficient and necessary instruments. Also Department encourages motivated students to carry out science based projects and guide them with necessary inputs.

Mission
To impart sound mathematical knowledge to engineering students both at under graduate and post graduate levels.
Three labs are created as part of the centre for calibration.
The Department teaches basic and specialized mathematics courses for all the engineering departments in the college.
The Department pursues research in Theoretical Computer Science and Fluid dynamics
