Foreign Language Lab

"Language shapes the way we think, and determines what we can think about."

ABOUT:

Empowering Global Competence through the Foreign Language Lab:

The Foreign Language Lab is aimed at equipping students with essential global communication skills, and provides an interactive and immersive environment where students can master languages such as French, German, Japanese and Spanish using advanced audio-visual tools and digital resources. With a strong focus on listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills, the lab empowers students to become confident professionals who can thrive in multinational workplaces and research environments worldwide. This initiative strengthens students’ global readiness, opening pathways to international placements, higher education abroad, global internships, and cross-cultural collaboration.
In today’s competitive world, multilingual proficiency is not just an asset—it’s a necessity. Multilingual skills help engineering students translate scientific and technical documents from foreign languages into their native language, enriching their ability to conduct research abroad. The study of foreign languages also prepares students for both national and international placements.
Foreign language training also prepares students for entrance exams, interviews, and academic life in non-English-speaking countries, supporting their admission into foreign universities. The lab utilizes modern tools such as language learning software, audio labs, and virtual classrooms to provide an engaging and effective learning experience. These skills, acquired at the undergraduate level, lay the foundation for lifelong learning and continued career development.
